Labor and Employment Services

The Firm is devoted exclusively to representing Employers in labor and employment matters. We counsel our management clients on compliance with state and federal labor and employment laws, including: the National Labor Relations Act (NLRB), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Labor-Management Relations Act, Federal Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Equal Pay Act, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and corresponding State laws.

Our Firm spends a large percentage of our time counseling our management clients on management-labor relations. We negotiate collective bargaining agreements, handle grievances, and advise Employers on how to avoid unionization in the workplace. We represent Employers in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, including unfair labor practices, representation and decertification elections and related matters.

Our lawyers provide daily consultations to the human resources departments of publicly traded and private companies. We assist in day-to-day employee matters, such as employee discipline and termination, layoffs, drafting and updating employee handbooks and policies, employee compensation, and drafting and enforcing employee non-solicitation and noncompetition agreements.

We also assist employers in developing equal employment opportunity policies and practices. Our firm handles employee complaints to the Department of Labor (including the EEOC, OSHA, and WHS) and related State agencies. We counsel federal contractors developing and maintaining working affirmative action programs and represent them in OFCCP reviews and audits.
